Thank YOU!

A great big thank you to all who entrusted us with your Thanksgiving turkeys.  It truly was an honor to serve you and we are grateful for giving us the opportunity!  We would love to hear your feedback on how you all enjoyed your turkeys and what would help to make things better next year.

Thanksgiving Turkeys are Sold Out

Thank you all for your wonderful support and encouragement!  We have enjoyed raising the turkeys greatly and hope they will bless your tables.

The chickens are finishing up and will be ready over the next two weeks.  We hope to have some at market next Saturday.  If you are there, please stop by and say hello!  We will be at the Millsap farm table.

Hope all is well for you all as you prepare for the joys of the coming holidays.

Sincerely,

 Organically Raised

 Pastured Chicken

We are happy to announce that we have found a supplier of certified organic grains* (see note below), so your birds will be finishing up with certified organic feed as well as fresh pasture, water, air and sunshine!  We are offering chicken for pre-order with a $6.00 deposit.  The total cost will be $3.50 /lb for whole chickens. This is a great price for pastured, organically raised chicken!

We are also considering offering a two month winter meat CSA.  Please contact us if you would be interested.  Eric: (319) 461-0139  legacyfarm@rocketmail.com

You can pay your pre-order deposit below

*The feed we had been using was GMO-free and tested regularly for pesticides, never having tested positive for pesticides in the grain.  The present grain is certified organic, which also means it is non-GMO.

The Turkeys are growing!

We just moved the turkeys to their fresh patch of grass for the day.  The joyful sounds just make us smile as they pick up some new bug or hollow out a nice place for a dust bath!  Here are a few photos of your happy turkeys!

Just into the brooder!  Welcome home turkeys!

$10 Thanksgiving turkey pre-order online:

TURKEYS!  Pasture raised, GMO free, humanely  processed, fresh (not frozen), Thanksgiving turkeys.

Millsap farm will be offering "GMO free" turkeys fresh for Thanksgiving this year.  Eric Reschly family will be growing a limited number of turkeys on pasture at the farm.  The turkeys will be available for pre-order with a $10 deposit which may be mailed or paid online through PayPal.  Any turkeys available after pre-order will be available 1st come 1st served.  Because of the organic nature of turkey growth, size can not be preselected.  Although it is very likely you will be able to find the size you are looking for.  If this is a specific concern, arriving early on pickup day will certainly secure the size you want.  Or you could call to discuss your particular concern.

Turkeys will be sold at $3.65/lb for whole turkeys*.  Weights will likely range from 9lbs through 23lbs.  The majority will fall in the 16lb range.  These will be humanely, personally processed and available for pickup November 20 after 4:00 PM.  They will be fresh, packed on ice and/or in the farm cooler.

For pre-order call  Eric Reschly at 319-461-0139 or email legacyfarm@rocketmail.com.  For those wishing to pay the pre-order online we can send an emailed invoice.  Checks may be mailed to Eric Reschly 6649 N EMU Lane, Springfield MO. 65803.

Also available the second week in November we will have pasture raised, GMO free
